Role: Aftermarket Sales Manager

Salary: Up to £62,000

Role Overview:
This is a field-based technical sales role covering an assigned territory within the UK, responsible for driving the promotion, sale, and support of aftermarket products and services. The role focuses on helping customers improve efficiency, reduce emissions, adopt green technologies, and upgrade obsolete equipment, while providing engineered solutions and quotations, including hire boilers. A thorough understanding of the combustion and boiler market is essential to identify opportunities, deliver value to customers, and support business growth. The position offers a varied, autonomous working environment combining technical expertise, customer engagement, and commercial development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage an assigned UK territory and act as the primary point of contact for customers.
- Interpret customer enquiries and develop engineered, technically sound solutions.
- Prepare and provide commercial quotations, including hire boiler proposals.
- Liaise with existing customers, following up on quotations and ongoing sales opportunities.
- Identify and generate new business opportunities to support growth.
- Work with suppliers and subcontractors to meet customer requirements.
- Attend customer meetings and conduct site visits as necessary.
- Assist with departmental budgeting and forecasting.
- Ensure compliance with quality systems and internal procedures.
Skills and Experience:
- Engineering Apprenticeship, HNC, HND, or demonstrable experience in a similar technical sales or aftermarket role.
- Strong knowledge of boiler house systems, processes, and equipment.
- Essential: thorough understanding of the combustion and boiler market.
- Ability to translate technical requirements into practical commercial solutions.
- Confident working independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Full UK driving licence.
Personal Objectives and Performance:
- Performance measured against key performance indicators (KPIs), reported monthly and assessed on a rolling three-month basis.
- During the initial probationary period, KPIs will guide training, integration, and development.
