Job Title: HR Consultant

Location: Office Based, Carlisle
Salary: Up to £35,000 (Pro Rata)

As a HR Consultant, you will ensure SME clients receive the best expert advice on all HR matters and remain compliant with relevant regulations. You will be integral to developing and implementing HR initiatives with the aim of supporting clients’ growth and success. You will also support the Realise team to develop relationships with new clients.
You will support larger clients with consultancy projects including TUPE, transformation and change projects, employee engagement initiatives and more. This role requires a balance of focused independent working to deliver outcomes for clients, alongside collaboration with the wider team to remain engaged and aligned with the company vision.

The Team
The Realise team consists of experienced HR professionals. Spending time understanding the target audience and the services provided will be critical to advising clients effectively, ensuring compliance and supporting business growth.

Key Responsibilities
HR Advice & Client Support

Providing expert HR advice and support to SME clients

Developing and implementing HR initiatives and policies

Ensuring clients remain compliant with relevant regulations

Conducting HR audits and providing recommendations for improvement

Supporting employee relations, performance management and talent development

Keeping up to date with changes in employment law and HR trends
Projects & Consultancy

Designing and delivering HR projects for larger organisations

Supporting consultancy work including TUPE, transformation and change projects

Leading or contributing to employee engagement surveys

Supporting culture change programmes, talent management and team development initiatives
Training, Community & Business Growth

Delivering training and workshops on HR best practice

Supporting the HR community with learning opportunities

Developing content that can be commercialised

Attending networking events with target customers

Supporting the development of new client relationships
About You

Enthusiastic, energetic and willing to take initiative

Experience providing HR advice and support to SMEs

Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practice

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to develop and implement HR strategies and policies

Ability to design and deliver training and workshops

Ability to build effective and long-lasting relationships quickly

Confident interacting with clients and delivering high levels of customer service

A qualification or relevant experience in HR management
