Job Title: Insurance Account Executive (Commercial & Agricultural)
Location: Carlisle, Cumbria
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Salary: Up to £45K + Commission
The Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated and client-focused Account Executive to join a growing and well-established insurance broking organisation. This role supports clients across both the agricultural and commercial insurance sectors, and experience working across both markets is essential. This is a front-facing, relationship-led role suited to someone who thrives on delivering results while providing an outstanding client experience. Working alongside an experienced and supportive team, you will play a key role in driving business growth, managing client relationships and delivering a seamless client journey from initial contact through to ongoing account development.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, grow and maintain a portfolio of commercial and agricultural insurance clients
- Build long-term client relationships, understanding their risks, needs and business objectives
- Manage the full client journey from initial engagement through to placement, renewal and ongoing service delivery
- Identify appropriate insurer markets and present risks to secure competitive quotations
- Act as the primary point of contact, delivering professional and proactive advice to clients
- Work closely with Account Handling and Broking teams to support daily service delivery
- Drive portfolio growth through new business development and retention strategies
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance markets, products and industry developments
- Attend client meetings, industry events and networking opportunities to support relationship building and business development
About You
- Proven experience working within both commercial and agricultural insurance is essential
- Previous insurance broking experience is strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of insurer markets and insurance industry networks
- Results-driven with a proven ability to grow and develop client accounts
- Passionate about delivering excellent customer experience and managing the client journey end-to-end
- Excellent relationship building and communication skills
- Highly organised with strong time management and workload prioritisation skills
- Strong awareness of local client markets would be advantageous
- Professional qualifications such as CII or Dip CII are desirable but not essential (support will be provided)
- Full UK driving licence is essential
