Role: Regional HR Business Partner – Plant Operations
Location: UK Based, ideally Doncaster/Beckingham with travel to Birmingham, Carlisle, Salsburgh
Salary: £50,000 – £55,000
Working Hours: 24 hours per week, highly flexible
Employment Type: Part-time, Permanent
Role Overview:
This is a brand-new HR role within a growing plant hire organisation supporting clients across the UK. You will have the chance to make your mark, influence how we grow, and help build capability as we integrate a new team into our Plant operation and further develop our regional structure. The role will support our four Regional Depots: Birmingham, Doncaster, Carlisle and Salsburgh, and will require some travel to these sites, although it will be predominantly based from Doncaster/Beckingham.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build capability and confidence in senior and team leaders through coaching, mentoring, and practical support.
- Support the development of a consistent leadership approach across all depots.
- Provide calm, grounded guidance through employee relations (ER) cases.
- Ensure people initiatives are well designed, understood, and deliver maximum impact.
- Support local engagement, recruitment, and retention activity.
- Help position the company as an employer of choice in local communities.
- Play a key role in integrating the Geotechnical team into the wider company.
- Support change initiatives positively, embedding new structures and ways of working.
- Develop and report on people metrics to identify trends or issues and provide recommendations.
Skills and Experience:
- HR generalist experience covering employee relations, coaching, and people development.
- Empathetic, approachable, and grounded, with strong interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable supporting change and organisational growth.
- Able to influence with credibility and confidence.
- Strong organisational, analytical, and reporting skills.
Personal Objectives and Performance:
- Performance measured through the effectiveness of leadership support, people engagement, and successful implementation of HR initiatives.
- During the initial period, focus on establishing relationships, embedding new practices, and supporting integration of new teams.
